My morning journey to work meanders round City Hall Park's flickering gas lamps and fountain providing a watery grave for wished on coins. Seeing them I fondly recall after 13 years of wishing at my hometown mall's fountain, my coins finally worked their magic when a shiny Chestnut Saddlebred Mare joined our rank of pets! Now when I have a penny to spare and a wish to be wished, Abraham Lincoln takes flight. While I'm not necessarily wishing for horses anymore (well, sometimes yes...I did ask Santa Sister Sarah for some vintage paint-by-number horses) there's got to be some kind of hope for our wants whether materialistic or intangible.
